Parking on campus is limited, and you are encouraged to consider all other options available to you before applying for campus parking. Listed below are some of the alternative options that may be available to you- you may also wish to consider a combination of these options.

Public Transport
Public transport is available to all campuses, please visit Translink for more information.
Bus services that you may find handy include the 66 Service (Woolloongabba, Mater Hill, SouthBank, Cultural Centre, King George Square, Roma Street, Normanby, QUT KG) or the 393 Service (Tenefiffe Ferry, Newstead, Bowen Hills Train Station, RBH, Royal Childrens Hospital, QUT KG, Normanby).
Inter-Campus Shuttle Services
The University operates a shuttle service between Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove (BCC Bus Route 391). This service is free to staff and students - you will need to present your QUT Id card when boarding the bus. Please visit the QUT Shuttle bus web page for more information
For students and staff who have evening lectures or who need to attend the campus during the evening, the University does provide an evening shuttle bus to surrounding car parks and public transport stops. Please visit the night shuttle bus web page for further information.
Public Car Parks
Both the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses are in close proximity to public car parks. You are encouraged to check with car park operators to determine the best deal available.
Gardens Point. South Bank car parks are a popular alternative with a short walk across the Goodwill Bridge to campus.

Bicycles
You are welcome to ride your bike to campus. Please note that bicycles must be parked in the racks provided on campus.
More secure bike compounds are currently available at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove which staff and students may access for a once off fee of $10.00. There are also individual bike lockers for rent, more information can be found at the cycling webpage.
The Brisbane City Council has information on bikeways around the city and bus routes which have bicycle racks.
Motorcycles
Currently all campuses have free motorcycle parking in designated areas. Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses also offer paid motorcycle parking under the buildings.

Pay & Display Car Parks
Both the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses have Pay and Display car parks for casual use. Visit our Pay & Display car parks web page for fees and other conditions
Weekend Parking
Weekend & After-hours parking is available at competitive rates at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses. Weekend parking permits are valid from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. After-hours permits are valid between 8pm and 7am, Monday to Friday. Applications are available on line.
