Staff and students who attend campus in the evening (after 4pm) are encouraged to apply for a parking permit under the buildings (S, Z and C Blocks). This parking is cheaper, guaranteed and easier. Your ID card is programmed to allow you access. Applicants may apply online through QUT Virtual (go to the My QUT tab, and follow the link at the bottom of the Transport Portal). Parking is available in two time slots - from 4-6pm, or 6pm until midnight.
The fee structure is as follows (includes GST). These fees are per slot per day.
| 1600-1800 hours | 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm | $1.80 |
| 1800-2400 hours | 6:00 pm to midnight | $3.60 |
There is also a Pay and Display car park available on campus. This car park is located under the South East Freeway. However you should be aware that there is a maximum permitted time of 4 hours per day, and there is often a queue to gain entry to this car park for the evening lectures. While spaces exist you may also be able to purchase parking at the gatehouse after 5:30pm. This parking is charged at a flat fee of $5.00 and is payable on entry. You should be aware that this parking is only offered if spaces remain after the permit allocation. To be guaranteed a space you should apply for an evening parking permit as per above.
