Facilities Management uses Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to capture infrastructure data for the three university campuses. The GIS Data is made available university wide to all staff via Internet Explorer and ESRI’s ArcIMS software in the form of an interactive online GIS Webmap. All the GIS data is also stored on the National Map Grid of Australia co ordinate system which aligns with multiple data sources including rectified Orthophotography. The Source GIS datasets reside in Autodesk Autocad MAP 3D GIS in dwg format.

The GIS web site address is http://brass/website. First time users will have to install the viewing software prior to operation.
Note: currently Mac users are not supported.
