The Design Standards and Guidelines
(DS&G) collates for Consultants and Contractors all the general detailed
requirements for the design and construction of QUT projects.This document forms a part of all design and/or construction projects and is in
addition to the project specific 'Scope of Work'. All contracts must specify the
Edition and Amendments of the DS&G pertaining to the project.
Standards are chosen for the following reasons:
- Controlling aesthetics
- Providing equity in the physical environment
- Lowering life cycle costs
- Savings gained through bulk purchasing.
