Mackay Field Station & Pilot Plant
This research facility is a pilot plant built for the purpose of demonstrating technologies for the conversion of sugar biomass to renewable liquid fuels and saleable materials. The facility is expected to be substantially operational by end 2010.
Samford Ecological Research Facility
A number of minor works projects are currently being undertaken at QUT's Samford property. The projects include complete refencing, a new Electricity Service and Construction of a Culvert and Solar Power to the western side of the property.
