GP Traffic Study

A study into the pedestrian and vehicular traffic on the Gardens Point campus is currently being undertaken. With the increase in parking numbers due to the Science and Technology Precinct, the future new position of the Citycat terminal, and the increase in public and other transport options, it was felt that a traffic management framework was needed to ensure the campus traffic is managed effectively. Recommendations for the framework and other improvements is being developed and will be completed in the coming weeks.

GP V Block (Library)

In response to the need for technology assisted and peer supported learning initiatives, the Gardens Point Library Upgrade Project set out to reduce the dominance of the print periodical collection on Level 4 and refurbish the space with a range of formal and informal learning areas.

The resultant transformation of V Block Level 4, met this initiative through the provision of a range of technology assisted spaces including formal and informal group study areas, private study spaces and a mix of flexible dedicated group study rooms. To a large extent, some of the designed spaces exceeded initial expectations with the additional outcomes of areas such as 'The Deck', 'Tech Lounge' and the 'Window Box'.
