Within Capital Development, the Capital Works Section is responsible to coordinate, manage and deliver capital projects. Our mission is to provide an efficient, high quality service to the University's Faculties, Schools, Divisions, Institutes and Departments. This involves the construction of new buildings, as well as the refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings, and the associated fit-out required for occupation and use. The Capital Works Section provides the following services:
- Project planning and capital works procurement
- Project management
- Design and documentation management
- Cost planning and budget management
- Construction management
- Procurement and installation of project specific furniture and equipment
- Coordination of temporary accommodation
Please Note: The Operations Section is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of University buildings (eg. light bulbs, electrical faults or air conditioning problems, leaky taps etc.) Reporting of maintenance issues should be lodged through the FM Help desk or on-line through the Maintenance Request Form
