In order to obtain a parking permit you must complete a Parking Application form, detailing all the reasons why you need a park on campus and submit it to the Parking Office by the due date. Parking applications are ranked in order of demonstrated need for a parking space and parking is allocated to those with the highest rank. Failure to provide all the details of your situation may result in a lower rank being allocated to your application.
Pay & Display Car Park: There is also a Pay and Display car park located on the campus. This car park is designed for short term one off parking and fees are structured to encourage this. The car park is a 4P area and you may only park for a maximum of 4 hours in any one day. Please see the Pay & Display section for further details.
If you need to travel between campuses, there is a free inter-campus shuttle service between the Carseldine and Kelvin Grove Campuses, and between Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point. The service is provided through a Brisbane Transport (BCC) bus travelling route 392. Route 391 operates between the Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point Campuses.

Hence, Graduate School students will usually need to change their parking times half way through the regular semester. This is how Grad School students should apply:
- Complete Parking Application form as normal, indicating the times/days you will require for the first seven week semester.
- At the same time (or as soon as you know), submit an Amendment Form, indcating the days/times you willl require for your second seven week semester. At the top of this form, write 'Grad School' or 'BGSB'.
- Your next permit will be ready for you to exchange at the Office or Gatehouse just before your second semester starts.
Please note that while it is quite likely that you will be successful in getting evening or late afternoon parking, there is no guarantee and it is unlikely that you will be able to pick up day time parking. You will be notified by the parking office if you are unsuccessful or owe or are owed monies.
