Paving works at Gardens Point Campus

The area around OGH, X, V, U, O will be a work zone from December 2011 through to January 2012.
O Block entrance towards the Library podium is currently undergoing paving contruction and can not be used for pedestrian access. Please use the walkway through M Block to traverse from the library podium to L, O and C Blocks. Stairs leading to the Library between O and M Blocks are also closed. Please use lifts in M Block or alternatively take stairs between Q & M Block.

Access to OGH will soon be made available upon completion of the pavers nearest to the Kidney Lawn.

Temporary closure of Kelvin Grove busway station

From the last service on Sunday 25 December 2011 to the last service on Wednesday 4 January 2012, the QUT Kelvin Grove busway station will be closed due to construction works on the Inner Northern Busway.

For more information about the alternative bus stops for the 66, 330, 333 and 340 services which travel via Kelvin Grove Road is available from Translink website or call 13 12 30 anytime.

Boundary Road Closed at KG

Boundary Road will be closed for civil repairs and resurfacing. Expected completion date Saturday 14 January 2012 (weather permitting).
During this period, the road will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

The site will extend from Victoria Park Road entry at the top of the hill down to the point near F Block car park entry. Full road access to F Block car park will be maintained at all times, however access to the car park will now need to be made from the bottom of Boundary Road via either Herston Road entry or the Campus Ring Road.

Appropriate safeguards will be put in place to ensure fire exits from the buildings are maintained to the site during emergencies and that appropriate building and site signage is installed.

Christmas Break

On Friday 23 December please ensure that all food scraps and waste are placed in the wheelie bins outside your building, and not left in the office/lunchroom bins (these will not be emptied during the break). Extra wheelie bins have been located around campus for your use.

Please ensure all window dressings (blinds and or curtains) remain open to enable light into the buildings.

Please turn off all non essential power equipment at the wall, i.e. computers , printers photocopiers, hot water boilers, non-safety lights, etc. Let's all do our bit for a cleaner environment.
