Co-Mingled Recycling:
This refers to the collection of common recyclable products in single bins. Co-mingled wheeled bins are located at strategic points throughout each campus. Items that can be recycled through being placed in these bins include:
Glass:
- All clear, green and amber glass bottles, e.g. soft drink, wine, beer
- All glass jars
- Clear glass sauce bottles.
Plastics:
- Plastics stamped with the Plastics Identification Code (1 - 6) can be recycled
Aluminium Cans:
The contractor currently delivering this service at QUT has provided useful information on co-mingled recycling.
It may be possible to arrange additional bins for the collection of co-mingled recyclable material for use at specific functions or activities. Please contact the appropriate Cleaning Supervisor to determine what may be possible.
