Campus Services supports the University community through their service operations, assuring clients of a clean, safe and well-managed environment. The goal of Campus Services is to provide a service in an efficient, timely and professional manner.
The cleaning section has staff (auditors) dedicated to ensuring the cleaning specifications are adhered to by the cleaning contractors. On a rotational basis each building and grounds area is inspected by the auditors daily, over a four week period all areas will be visited at least once.

Emphasis is given in the auditing process to public areas, toilets and lecture rooms to ensure they are cleaned to the specification before 8:00am. Any urgent issues identified in these areas is reported to the contractor imeadiately and remedial action is taken.
Issues identified in other than public areas will be prioritised by the auditor for remedial action either the same day or by the following morning.
The results of the audits assist the Cleaning Manager with six monthly appraisals of the contractors. Each cleaning contract runs for one year with two one year extensions if they are performing the service satisfactorily.
